The location of the cottage was perfect with everything we needed just a short walk away. The owners were incredibly accommodating, allowing us to check in late and have a late checkout. The interior of the cabin was beautifully decorated and cozy, with a rustic feel but equipped with modern amenities. The beds were comfortable and there was plenty of space for our family. The kitchen had everything we needed and we loved being able to walk to the grocery store to buy food. The surroundings were picturesque, with lanterns lit on the porches and snow falling. The property had a magical atmosphere. We also enjoyed the various activities available, such as biking, swimming in the lakes, and hiking in the fells. our stay was mind-blowingly perfect and we can't wait to return.

The hosts were incredibly friendly and helpful, and there were great amenities like a northern lights alert service, log fire, saunas, and free wood. We also loved that there were loads of sledges to use and a bus stop right outside.
We felt absolutely taken care of during our stay and nothing was too much trouble for the hosts.

We got great value for our money at this hotel. The room was clean and beautifully decorated, with all the amenities we needed. The location was perfect, with easy access to shops, restaurants, and lake activities. The staff treated us like family, providing helpful recommendations and even lending us hats and scarves for our kids. It was truly a wonderful experience.
Breakfast delights, but could use a wider variety of options.

What a fantastic location! This cozy cabin was the perfect haven in a snowy wonderland. The owners were welcoming and accommodating, ensuring our stay was comfortable. The cabin was beautifully decorated with handcrafted details, creating a charming atmosphere. The fully equipped kitchen and comfortable beds were just what we needed after a long day exploring. The nearby grocery store and restaurant made it convenient to stock up on supplies and enjoy a delicious meal. We also appreciated the sauna and fireplace, adding to the cozy feel of the cabin. We definitely recommend staying here for a peaceful and enjoyable experience.
The only downside was the lack of a second shower, which could have been useful when multiple people were staying in the cabin.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Yllaksen Yopuu in Akaslompolo for a couple of nights and it exceeded all expectations. The Paatalo cottage was spacious, clean, and incredibly comfortable. The hosts, Marja and Vesa, were warm and welcoming, ensuring that our stay was perfect. The cottage was fully equipped with a sauna, fireplace, and even a mobile phone with Aurora alerts. The location was ideal, with a restaurant, supermarket, and cross country skiing trails just a short walk away. I would highly recommend staying here and hope to visit again soon.
I would be happy to recommend this hotel.
